The study based on cluster and purposive sampling. It consists of 90 respondents and were group in to three groups, e.g. early, mid and late career teachers. The teachers' perception towards their career and indices of commitment was measure by questionnaire. The results revealed that job satisfaction, first employment of the respondents, their behavioral intention to stay and their marital status will have an influence on the respondents' perception of themselves towards their career. Always prepared to teach, being present and punctual were the indicators of commitment.
