Description
Summary:Play through is a picture book which centers on a young boy, named Macmac. He is a young boy who is very addicted with playing his smartphone. He plays with it all day and uses it the same time when he eats, does his homework, and even while taking a bath. He does not follow his bedtime and sleep late. The book intends to highlight the proper usage of gadgets among children as the main theme. The goal is to appeal to a locally selected target audience, specifically children in A, B, and C socio-economic classes, with ages ranging from six to ten years. Children form this age range are most likely to be able to read out loud on their own and are able to comprehend complex sentences. While it is mentioned that the project aims to reach audience children, an older reading group is identified as a secondary target audience as well. This story can be read by the child alone, or with an adult, preferably their parent, for the child to better understand the concept and message of the story (Bagert and Culinan) The story will focus on proper usage of gadgets among children and how parent involvement plays an important role in helping their children develop healthy and safe habits on technology use.
