Children coming from different educational classes were given a pre-test. Results showed that there was no significant difference in their level of environmental awareness prior to the stories. The stories were given to the experimental group with an alpha level of .05 and a post-test was given 3 days. Using Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance and Wilcoxon signed ranks test with an alpha level at .05. Results showed a significant increase in their level of environmental awareness. Three weeks later, a final post-test was given.
