Fabrication of an improvised stretching apparatus and the determination of the effect of the stretching temperature on the conductivity of polypyrrole films synthesized in aqueous solution
An improvised stretching apparatus that will be fitted to existing Physics laboratory equipment was fabricated. Conducting polypyrrole films were synthesized and they were stretched using a total load of 400 grams for a period of one hour. The films were stretched using the improvised apparatus in a...

Wong, Marily T. An improvised stretching apparatus that will be fitted to existing Physics laboratory equipment was fabricated. Conducting polypyrrole films were synthesized and they were stretched using a total load of 400 grams for a period of one hour. The films were stretched using the improvised apparatus in an aqueous solution of distilled water doped with P-Toluenesulfonate monohydrate. Films stretched at a higher solution temperature showed a better percentage change in their conductivity. The researchers' samples yielded a percentage change in conductivity of 193.55 (stretching temperature at 60 degrees Celsius) at its highest and a conductivity change of 1.89 at its lowest (stretching temperature at 30 degrees Celsius). To provide additional data, samples produced by Arboleda, Granada, & Reyes were also used. These samples yielded a percentage change in conductivity of 356.5 (stretching temperature at 30 degrees Celsius) at its highest and a conductivity change of 14.67 (stretching temperature at 40 degrees Celsius) at its lowest. 1996-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/4159 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Physical instruments Pyrroles Electric conductivity Polymers Physics |
