With a board game like Checkers, the software could act as an intelligent opponent to a human player. The aim is for the computer to manifest a high degree of competitiveness while playing with a human opponent. To be able to accomplish this, various AI approaches to game playing are considered. In addition to this, the various data structures needed to implement a game software considered, along with the incorporation of the standard rules and strategies of the game of Checkers. The hardware resources for this endeavor include an IBM PC Compatible with a colored high resolution monitor (VGA), with Microsoft DOS as operating system. |
