Data were analyzed qualitatively by lifting the verbatims from the responses which answered the research problems. Married husbands are perceived by their wives as responsible, expressive, and trustworthy. The married wives are perceived as responsible, expressive, and trustworthy. The common problems encountered by married couples are misunderstanding, infidelity, and finances. Problem solving strategies involves discussion, give and take, and humility. The present nature of the marital relations are friendship and brotherly or sisterly love. While the attributions that led to marital failure are also considered. Separated husbands are described as irresponsible, jealous, and not expressive one while separated wives are dominant, dishonest, and irresponsible. Problems encountered are irresponsibility, infidelity, and communication gap. The problem solving strategies of separated individuals are no discussion and confrontation.
