Aggressive driving: Relationship of person variables with ones likelihood to drive aggressively

This study investigated about the factors that contribute to aggressive driving. In particular, the study dealt with finding out whether frustration-tolerance, time-urgency, and conformity can be attributed to aggressive driving in varying contexts. The study was conducted to college students in different schools in Metro Manila who happens to be driving individuals. The researchers made use of a survey as the method of data collection. Specifically, the researchers used the road rage test manual to survey the respondents. The results indicated that time-urgency and frustration significantly contribute to the aggressive driving of the subjects. Conversely, conformity does not contribute in any way to aggressive driving. Therefore, only frustration-tolerance and time-urgency can be attributed as factors affecting aggressive behavior, particularly aggressive driving.
