Description
Summary:Synthetic fertilizers contain substances like nitrogen, ammonia and many more that can cause health issues to those exposed to it. To lessen the exposure of humans with the said substances, technologies such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) will be used. The study aims to design a UAV crop dusting robot for small scale environments that is less expensive compared to the commercially available UAVs. The hexacopter will have the capability to carry the synthetic fertilizer on air and spray it on the crops while the user is a distance away from it. Its movement, altitude and spraying will be controlled manually through a mobile phone with an Android application. Te Zigbee technology will be used as away of communication between the controller and hexacopter allowing data transfer.
