Yuin, Peter W. A specially designed software that will translate an English text into Braille text enabled the use of microcomputers as a means of producing books in Braille. The software will translate an English textile entered by means of WORDSTAR into Braille Text. The textfile will first be checked for possible errors. If no errors are found, the translation process is initiated. After the translation process, the Braile Text is printed in its proper Braille code. With the use of microcomputer, a more economical and efficient means of production of books in Braille will be made available to these organizations tasked with educating the blind. By making this capability available to these organizations, these organizations will then be able to produce books in Braille that will cater to the specific needs, making them more responsive. In this manner, they will be able to contribute greatly to the intellectual upliftment of these people deprived of their sight. 1986-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6388 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Blind--Printing and writing systems Computer software Coding theory Text processing (Computer science) Microcomputers-- Programming Translators (Computer programs) Computer Sciences
