Oven closed-loop system

This thesis explains how the modified oven works through monitoring the temperature, status of exhaust dampers, blower, heater, through a single server at all times. The curing time involves three processes: ramp-up process, soak process and ramp-down. Modification includes the adding of two exhaust...

Witongco, Kristine This thesis explains how the modified oven works through monitoring the temperature, status of exhaust dampers, blower, heater, through a single server at all times. The curing time involves three processes: ramp-up process, soak process and ramp-down. Modification includes the adding of two exhaust dampers that will act as bypass 1 (normally open) and bypass 2 (normally close). Bypass 1 will close automatically in case the original exhaust damper fails to close when triggered during ramp-up and soak processes. This is to attain the desired temperature given the proper time to achieve such temperature. Bypass 2 in turn shall open when original exhaust damper fails to open during ramp-down process, which is necessary to avoid prolonged cooling time, which again can damage the units. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is installed for monitoring purposes and to ready the ovens for networking. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6894 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Data transmission systems Temperature control Programmable controllers Computer-aided software engineering Engineering
