Summary: | An ethnobotanical study was made on the Dumagats of Malinao, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. Their ethnography and useful plants on the following categories: food, building materials, and medicine were noted. Out of 110 plant species, 86 were identified. There was a significant ethnobotanical relationship obtained in terms of the high dependence of the Dumagats on plants for almost all aspects of their lives. An account of the tribe's ethnography provided a basis in assessing the tribe's role in environmental protection. |
