Besides this objective, this study intends to describe the skills being develop by these practices. Furthermore, this study would also identify the evaluation methods used in determining whether the practices are effective or not. The respondents of this descriptive study were 30 HRD Directors and individuals in charge of training and development of corporation. In-depth interview was utilized as the study's instrument. The results were subjective content. It allowed the use of less formalize categorization, or simple system technique. The findings indicate that 100 of the respondents utilizes seminars and workshops as their executive development practice. In Addition, the study on what skills are being develop in executives indicated that conceptual skills are the most focused upon. Lastly, in the evaluation method, 41.67 of the respondents use the reaction level in determining the effectiveness of the executive development practices. The study concluded that executives play a vital role as they make decisions affecting the overall performance of the organization. Thus, executive development is a tool to corporate survival in today's increasingly competitive business environment. Executive development seminars and workshops is widely used in the Philippine setting. Top corporations utilize this to ensure the continuous upgrading of executive skills necessary in responding to changes in the international-market.
