Description
Summary:In this study, the main focus of the research is to identify the experiences df the students with a background in homeschooling on how they transitioned from homeschooling into a traditional school system, particularly college. The main goal of the research is to provide insight on the actual experience transitioning to college. The population of interest would be undergraduate Filipino students currently in college, or have graduated, that have been home educated from the grade school up to high school, specifically those who have had structured homeschooling. To provide insight on the uniqueness of the transition experience, the population of interest must have been homeschooled through the entirety of their primary and secondary education. The participants should have followed a homeschooling that has a defined curriculum, because it is available in the country (Mendoza, 2008). The research utilizes the phenomenological approach to examine and locate similar themes from the experiences of the individual transition between the two environments of homeschool and traditional school.
