With in-depth interviews done with a non-probability sample of 30 men, it was found that the definitions of the single father vary, as do the circumstances surrounding his becoming one. Majority of the single fathers in the study were unmarried men without custody of their children as good, with the fathers' role as financial provider. Correspondingly, the leading difficulty of single fathers was financial pressure, and the change in character and lifestyle was that of gaining a new or better perspective of life. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8877 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Single parents Father and child Coping behavior Parenthood Psychology
