Description
Summary:A project study was conducted to investigate the maximum utilization of soapstock into laundry soap using cold process. However, soapstock contains some impurities like colored bodies, hence, treatment was necessary.Numerous methods were applied such as mechanical oxidation, chemical bleaching, and aeration. And among these methods, experiment showed that for every 50 grams of soapstock that was aerated for 15 minutes, It gave a significant color reduction. The soap produced from this has stable bubbles, less insoluble and moisture content. It is comparable in quality, color, and cost to commercial laundry soap. The soap was produced using cold process.
