Specifically, this study aimed to answer the following objectives: 1) To describe the family dynamics during each of the following phases in relation to the areas of governance, finance, planning and academic management. 2) To describe and analyze the different stages undergone by the institution in terms of its organizational life cycle. 3) To draw a framework on the family dynamics and the life cycle of a family owned business. Data for this study were gathered from the life history of the institution and the family that manages it, one on one interview with family members and present-and former-employees of the institution and extant documents. As a result, it has been found that family dynamics does have a direct impact on the way the school is governed because familial atmosphere is prevalent throughout the growth stages in terms of management styles. Moreover, it has been found that the organizational life cycle does not necessarily have to follow the sequential phases of family dynamics. 2004-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_doctoral/46 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_doctoral/article/1045/viewcontent/CDTG003775_P.pdf Dissertations English Animo Repository Family-owned business enterprises School management and organization Educational Leadership
