This study was aimed at developing a framework for understanding teaching effectiveness from the perspectives of the Metrobank Outstanding teachers. It has provided a framework of teaching effectiveness in culturally-diverse environments with its dynamics and components that show an overview of what effective teaching should be that serve as contributory to high learning outcomes in their respective schools and communities. This qualitative study had utilized Kathleen M. Eisenhardt's Method of theory building from multiple cases with its eight (8) steps in exploring how the respondents were able to teach effectively despite the challenges of providing efficiency, quality and equitable educational services to their target clienteles in a culturally diverse environment. Getting into the in-depth analysis, the study has revealed six dimensions that made up the emergent final framework for understanding teaching effectiveness in a culturally diverse environment such as: 1. Creating an Inclusive Learning Environment that Nurtures Student Centricity 2. Establishing Culture of Excellence through Innovative Teaching Practices 3. Mentoring and Lifelong Learning Engagement for Professional Development 4. Exemplifying Compassionate Teaching 5. Fulfilling Community Responsibility and, 6.Manifesting Reflective Teaching. Based on the findings in this study, it is concluded that teaching effectiveness is grounded by time-honored virtues and positive outlook of the participants that has led them to exemplify compassionate teaching in facing the perplexing challenges of teaching in their respective culturally diverse environment. Hence, it can be stated that the pursuit of providing effective teaching in a culturally-diverse environment is fuelled by the teacher’s positive attitudes that guide their desire to impact lives. The six dimensions of teaching effectiveness have illustrated the multi-dimensional construct of effective teaching which enriched the contributions of this study to the growing body of knowledge to the phenomenon of teaching effectiveness in a culturally-diverse environment. Given this aspect of the study, the researcher has recommended a tool that is designed for self-assessment of one’s teaching and as a structure to facilitate discussion of the many different facets of effective teaching practices that will make a difference in teacher education development program today. Recognizing that the ultimate drivers of excellence of education are the teachers in the classroom, the opportunities for professional development must be enhanced for them to be creative and transformative leaders in the classroom.
