This is a quantitative descriptive and correlational study that examines the factors associated with willingness of human resources practitioners to hire persons with autism. It looks into their socio-demographic, personal, and company characteristics. It also describes HR practitioners levels of awareness on the policies related to, knowledge on, and attitudes toward persons with autism. This also defines how these variables internal to HR Practitioners are related to their level of willingness. A total of 120 HR practitioners from conveniently selected Multinational companies in Metro Manila, Philippines were surveyed. This study revealed that HR Practitioners are generally willing to hire persons with autism. Among the presumed variables, there are only four significant factors associated with ones level of willingness in hiring PWAs. These are: civil status, contact with persons with autism, level of knowledge on PWD/PWA, and attitude toward PWA. Civil status has a significant association with ones level of knowledge on PWD/PWA while Contact with PWA is associated with ones attitude toward PWAs. Both levels of knowledge and attitude towards PWA are found to be significant predictors of a persons willingness to hire PWA. Thus, civil status and contact with PWA can also indirectly influence hiring willingness. However, HR Practitioners expression of moderate willingness to hire PWA does not necessarily signify their decision to hire PWA in the workplace. 2014-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/4771 Master's Theses English Animo Repository
