Description
Summary:This study presents the design and development of a bamboo plant growth chamber. This contains The conceptualization to implementation of the structure in which plants may be grown indoors. Using enclosed environmental chambers is an upcoming approach for indoor farming. Vertical and aquaponics farming techniques are used to conserve space and water usage. The chamber consists of a steel frame structure and enclosed with bamboo. The environmental chamber houses plants that are monitored by and cared for by automated systems. The cost of construction and operation were measured to assess the cost effectiveness of the environmental chambers. The constructed chamber was built as an alternative to traditional farming techniques. It also serves as a medium in which automated monitoring and feedback plant cultivation systems can be developed and implemented.
