Using enclosed environmental chambers is an upcoming approach for indoor farming. Vertical and aquaponics farming techniques are used to conserve space and water usage. The chamber consists of a steel frame structure and enclosed with bamboo. The environmental chamber houses plants that are monitored by and cared for by automated systems. The cost of construction and operation were measured to assess the cost effectiveness of the environmental chambers. The constructed chamber was built as an alternative to traditional farming techniques.
