This study attempts to determine the teacher effectiveness of the high school faculty members of Canossa Academy. Specifically, this study attempts to answer the following questions : 1) Do the students and administrators differ in rating the following ten traits characteristics of teacher effectiveness of the high school faculty of Canossa Academy? 2) What qualities do they rank highest? lowest? 3) Who are the teachers rated highest? lowest? 339 high school students (93 freshmen, 97 sophomores, 60 juniors and 89 seniors) were asked to rate their teachers using the Purdue Rating Scale for Instructors. On the other hand, the administrators were also asked to rate the same teacher using the same instrument. The completed rating sheets were collected and students ratings were tabulated and ranked. The same procedure for the administrator's was followed. Using the Spearman Rank Difference Correlation Method, the relationship between the students and administrators perception was obtained by comparing their ratings as ranked. All ratings of students and administrators were tabulated and then correlated. The same method was used to find the relationship among the factors or traits and among the teachers. -- 2nd work.
