Description
Summary:The material in this paper is intended for a one semester course beginning calculus, on the secondary level. Discussed and developed in the paper were six regular lessons about the limit of a function, some rules of limits, the basic ideas of continuity, the limit basis of the derivative, the limit basis of the definite integral and some word problems in calculus. The lesson presented is simple and geared to student needs as beginner in acquiring the basic concepts of elementary calculus. The exercises have been chosen not for their difficulty but for clarifying the theory or rule involved, hence some exercises and applications may seem to be simple. This paper will furnish the teacher the material which he can use for classroom instruction especially to advanced students.
