A physics attitude inventory was used to measure the seniors' attitude towards physics. The point scores obtained were made to correlate with the grades in general science, biology, chemistry, and physics, with the average grades in the four science subjects. This attitude was determined whether it significantly differed according to school classification, sex, age, religion, and fathers' educational attainment. These variables were also tested if they were associated with physics attitude. Five statistical measures, together with t and z tests were used. To determine the significant difference in physics attitude, the t statistic was used for school classification, sex, age, and religion, and the ANOVA for fathers' educational attainment. The point-biserial correlation was used to determine if attitude of physics correlated with school classification, sex, age, and religion and the multi-serial correlation was applied with fathers' educational attainment. The level of significance was determined by using the t-test. To find out if physics attitude correlated with achievement in general science, biology, chemistry and physics, and with the average achievement of the four sciences, the Pearson product-moment correlation was used. The z-test was utilized for testing the level of significance. Findings 1. Ten schools out of 14 and 59.70 percent of the seniors scored greater than 141 in the PAI. This is the assigned cut-off score for positive attitude towards physics. 2. The statistical value for the difference in physics attitude according to school classification was 2.568 and this is significant at 0.02 level according to sex, age, religion, and fathers' educational attainment were 0.610, 0.980, 1.510, and 1.715 respectively. These are not significant. 3.
