Specifically, it sought to find answers to the following inquiries: 1. What are their problems when these offenders are grouped according to categories: probationers, parolees, pardonees? 2. In what area of adjustment do the offenders experience more problems? The subjects of this study were 80 adult offenders in the 3rd and 4th districts of Quezon who were interviewed using the Focus Group Discussion Method, a qualitative research technique. Conduct of interviews was done thrice a week in the morning, lasting for two to three hours depending upon the enthusiasm and interest shown by the respondents as they participated/shared in the discussions. All the data were analyzed and interpreted. Frequency and percentage distribution were computed. Tabulation of the variables and the responses gathered, and categorizing them were also done accordingly. Content Analysis was employed for the responses received and it yielded the following: The Adult Offenders, probationers, parolees and pardonees, practically had no adjustment problems along home/family, and spiritual areas. They, however, experienced difficulties along social, emotional, occupational and moral areas and the offenders were experiencing more problems along their social, emotional, occupational and moral adjustments. The study further concluded that Filipino offenders find strong support and acceptances in the family, and they find refuge and strength in God. Conduct a study similar to this one on the female adult offenders to find out if they have the same characteristics and adjustment problems 4. Conduct a study on the difference of the personality of inmates from the offenders released on probation, parole and pardon 5. Conduct a study to find out if the quality of supervision, the qualifications and training of the supervising officers have some bearing in the success of rehabilitation program in probation, parole and pardon.
