Antimutagenic terpenes and sterol from chloroform extract of Malachra fasciata and Elephantopus scaber
Malachra fasciata afforded loliolide, a glycerol derivative and stigmasterol. The structures of loliolide and the glycerol derivative were elucidated using 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HMQC and HMBC.
