Summary:This research describes Filipino dual-career marriages in terms of their cultural programming and to identify perceived advantages, disadvantages as well as coping strategies of the dual-career lifestyle. Descriptive research design was observed. The study used interview and questionnaire survey research methods in gathering data. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling design. The perceived advantages were related to the family, the career and individual. Dual-career couples share a strong relationship and a level of understanding that let them support each other willingly. Financial stability is also attained. Both partners strive for real family quality time. Intellectual companionship is present in the lifestyle. Dual-career professionals are better-rounded individuals as brought about by their being involved in both a career and a family. The lifestyle begets purpose, contentment, confidence, high self-esteem, independence, self-expression, personality development and intellectual gains.
