Summary: | Casual sexual relationships and experiences or CSREs such as booty calls, one-night-stands, friends with benefits, fuck buddies, and the concept of momol have been on the rise as a result of the advancements in technology as well as culture with the help of liberal movements and popular media. This paper delved into the concept and background of dating in the Philippines and how it shifted from a conservative view to a more liberal one, especially among emerging adults. Furthermore, this paper provided discussions as to why the youth prefer to engage in such activities, how these agreement and explicitly-stated boundaries work in CSREs, its impact on the people involved as well as their relationship with other people, and how such relationships challenge traditional expectations of a society rooted in patriarchy. Based on research studies about modern dating, different types and structures of CSREs, its emotional aspect, risks, and the role agreements play in such partnership, the researchers intended to produce a short film. However, given the current situation involving COVID-19, adjustments were made to the production of the short film. The researchers worked on a full production book and decided to portray the narrative through posters and storyboards. Specifically, two (2) teaser posters, one (1) pre-release poster, and one (1) official poster; one (1) 15-second storyboard, one (1) 30-second storyboard, and one (1) storyboard of highlights. The storyboard was created through Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Medibang Paint. The posters were shot in their respective homes but with the direction of the researchers via Zoom and Facebook Messenger and were edited in Adobe Photoshop and Canva. |
