This is to emphasize that there are positive outcomes that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic despite numerous negative repercussions. A convenience sampling method was used in order to garner a total of 372 Filipino young adults. The participants answered the Self-Awareness Outcomes Questionnaire, Self-Reflection and Insight Scale, and the Mental Health Continuum Short Form which measured their self-concept, self-reflection, and positive mental health respectively. Results revealed that self-concept fully mediates the relationship between self-reflection and positive mental health. These results highlight the need for more in-depth discussions on the understanding of one’s self-concept, through self-reflection, and its significance to individuals. It also confirms the current literature on self-reflection as an effective intervention that can be used to strengthen one’s self-concept and better their mental well-being. In conclusion, the current study suggests that having a clearer self-concept, through self-reflection, allows Filipino young adults to heighten their positive mental health. 2022-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdb_psych/19 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etdb_psych/article/1021/viewcontent/2023_Awid_Lozada_Papa_Sison_Self_reflection_and_positive_mental_health_in_Filipino_Full_text.pdf Psychology Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Mental health--Philippines Young adults--Philippines Psychology
