The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) has emphasized the importance of children’s participation. Among the factors that foster children’s participation, trust emerges as a critical element. This study examines the trust relationship between the nuns, who are the program managers, and children in a residential care for children in need of protection. A review of the Sikolohiyang Pilipino (Philippine Psychology) reveals that the nuns manifest a profound trust where their kindness reflects a harmonious connection with the inner being of the children or pakikipagpalagayang-loob. The research also presents narratives of managers and children which point to the effect of trust on child participation. 2023-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/12595 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Trust in children—Philippines Abused children—Services for—Philippines Social work with children—Philippines Child Psychology Social and Behavioral Sciences
