Summary: | This study explores the use of complex hand interactions in virtual reality (VR) games. This paper presents a preliminary object interaction system that supports the combination of several accessory actions to develop more complex interactions. A proof-of-concept demo is built around this system, implementing three such complex interactions: twist, lever, and hit. Furthermore, a user test is conducted to evaluate users’ experience of these interactions with varying levels of complexity. The study finds that most participants preferred the more complex versions of the interactions compared to their simpler counterparts. |
