Description
Summary:This article presents details of translator-editor collaboration in translating three Chinese short stories from Chinese into English, drawing on the author’s first-hand knowledge as an editor of Chinese Arts & Letters. The article examines how the translator-editor collaboration works to ensuring the precision of translated meaning, to furnish and construct cultural context, and to convey the literary qualities of the texts. The findings provide new materials and ideas for actor-network translation study and offer some effective and feasible suggestions for efforts to bring Chinese literature to an international audience, often known as “Chinese Literature Going Global.”
