Description
Summary:Across the globe, governments and academic institutions have explored the use of Work-based Learning (WBL) as a means to ensure work-readiness in students. In the Philippines, WBL is evident in the Senior High School (SHS) Work Immersion Program. This study aimed to describe the dimensions of WBL and the characteristics of a Connective Model of a Work Immersion Program in SHS, particularly in the strands of the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track. Through a questionnaire administered to one-hundred twelve (112) TVL graduates from Samson College of Science and Technology (SAMSON), the results of study show that the level of connectivity, the likelihood of development of boundary crossing skills, and the level of adequacy in the provision of guidance during the SHS Work Immersion Program in the Home Economics, Industrial Arts, and Information and Communications Technology Strands of SAMSON are similar. The study concludes with a discussion of implications drawn from the results of the study.
