Nanyang Business School DRNTU::Business::Industries and labor The motivation behind this study is to examine the impacts of the Integrated Resorts (IRs) on the tourism industry. It looks at the international and local gambling and tourism scene to provide a background on the dynamic and competitive environment. The rationale of the government in improving the competitiveness of Singapore using the IRs is investigated, particularly focusing on their economic and social impacts. With the focal point on the two winning bidders of the IRs, an analysis is made using two tourism models on how effective their likely impact on the Singapore’s destination competitiveness. The results of the analysis will also hope to demonstrate how the speculation of the success of the IRs is a matter for debate. 2008-09-24T07:42:39Z 2008-09-24T07:42:39Z 2007 2007 Final Year Project (FYP) http://hdl.handle.net/10356/10348 Nanyang Technological University application/pdf
