| Summary: | This study aims to determine the behaviour of goods vehicles drivers in response to speed limit revision along expressways by investigating the longer term impact of raising the posted speed limit (PSL) to 90 kph for passenger cars. This is because drivers of heavy goods vehicles (HGV) and light goods vehicles (LGV) may somewhat be influenced by passenger cars that have their speed limit raised. In conjunction, the impact of a subsequent increase in vehicle speed limit (VSL) of LGV (50 to 60 kph) and HGV (40 to 50 kph) in April 2001 was investigated. |
