Description
Summary:This project will study the effects of the phase and amplitude truncation on the output spectrum of the DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer) or numerically controlled oscillators (NCO). First, the classification and operation of the conventional DDS are reviewed. It is shown that DDS produce spurious as well as the desired output frequency due to aliasing of harmonic imperfections in the generated waveform.
