Summary: | This simulation project aims to serve as a discovery platform where organisations can experiment on their processes, structure as well as concept in a simulated environment. It comprises of Virtual and Constructive simulation, a specialised simulation that allows customisations of parameters that are rarely seen elsewhere depending on the organisation’s requirement. Development of simulation has the flexibility to conform to the system towards a project requirement and mitigate tedious efforts required for interoperability.
It is no longer enough to look at physical and digital as two disconnected realms. Carrying out virtual experiments has proven to be beneficial for evaluating operations, workplace effectiveness and efficiency. For instance, a simulator is a training platform which allows trainees to become proficient in their skillsets and to familiarise themselves with the controls before operating on a real system.
Finally, the simulation system must have sufficient resolution and fidelity that is high enough to capture the evaluated systems in the real world. Verification and Validation are essential to ensure credible and reliable simulation. The main objective is to compare results to real world situations as much as possible. Hence, obtaining realistic and accurate data are essential for the validation of the simulations to derive meaningful result for reference and analysis. |
