Summary: | In recent years, like the automotive industry, aircraft companies have started to develop fully electric aircraft in anticipation of the future. As such, research has been conducted with the goal of achieving a highly efficient aircraft electrical power system (EPS) that also maintains and/or improves the fuel efficiency. This project deals with the creation of the EPS of an aircraft fitted with the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engine. The EPS model will be created using MATLAB/Simulink and interfaced with OPAL-RT for simulation. Parameters are provided my Rolls Royce and used for the EPS model. The results demonstrate the operation of the EPS with simulated hardware inputs. |
