Description
Summary:In an increasingly digitized world where people prefer communicating online over traditional means, the use of digital devices to enhance learning is becoming increasingly popular. Classroom communication is a challenging yet fundamental part of teaching where communication goes both ways. However, students may choose to stay silent when faced with doubt due to various reasons. Current mobile applications which facilitate classroom communication in the market are mostly for commercial use, paid services or have no mobile application made available. Therefore, this project aims to create a mobile application which crowdsources questions. With the mobile application “AskMe”, the users are not only limited to asking questions but at the same time able to communicate with their professors and with other students. Users can ask questions anonymously, eliminating restrictions to that of a traditional classroom setting. In addition, it also allows the user to book appointments with the professors and participate in quizzes. Development of the application will be done using Ionic Framework, Angular, NodeJS and Firebase (Firestore, Realtime Database and Firebase Cloud Functions).
