Summary:Fundamental changes are taking place within the realm of education in Singapore. With the onset of information technology and the need for the teaching of creative thinking skills in pupils, the very product of schools must change. The school leavers of the future must have more than good grades. They must be creative, thinking individuals equipped with life-long desire to learn. Coupled with this change would be the need for the classroom teacher to move from his traditional role of dispenser of knowledge to one of facilitator. In fact, in the total context, schools will change.
