Collecting antiques and arts it is complicated and involves many technics. It requires
appraisal ability to differentiate the authenticity, or it is a reproduction, and this ability
requires many years of learning, reading, accumulating experiences, and a strong
knowledge of historical facts. Moreover, keeping track of the market is also essential in an
investment point of view, otherwise, you will pay above the market, resulting in a loss.
As a Chinese art collector and a dealer, there are some similar issues faced by us. I am
classifying the problems into three major parts, the authenticity of the art, buying and
selling platform, and communication. Therefore, a user-friendly phone interface
application will be designed specifically and developed to the point in order to alleviate
the mentioned issues.
With recent studies and information gathering, there is no platform similar to my idea, after
sharing the idea with the members of Singapore Art collector association, my idea was
recognized and will undoubtedly beneficial to the collectors.
This integrated application, named Chinese Art appraisal and social platform for collectors
will be designed with two parts, and they are mainly appraisal and social communication,
and auction platforms. As a membership-based application, users are required to sign up.
This application allows the user to post their collections in one of the interfaces for
evaluation and appraisal to find out the authentication of their collections by our prominent
and experienced connoisseurs, furthermore, they are also allowed to post their photos and
thoughts in the common platform for sharing and discussing among the collectors. The
auction interface will be established for the users to sell and buy within the trusted
platform. |
