中国自改革开放以来，其经济、科技、军事等方面便开始进入高速发展时期。中国国民自尊心与自信心因此见长。2006年央视大型纪录片《大国崛起》在中国崛起的热烈讨论以及高涨的民族自信中应运而生，从中国的角度出发简要说明了15世纪以来九个世界性大国的兴衰史并对其叙述中折射了21世纪中国的自信心。 本文将以纪录片《大国崛起》为切入点，通过分析其解说内容以及中国社会实况以研究21世纪中国社会表现“崛起”自信以及政治自信。最后，通过考查中国崛起目标以探讨21世纪中国的自信到底是一种自信还是自负。 Since China's reform and opening up, its economy, technology and military have been developing at a rapid pace. The 2006 CCTV documentary series The Rise of the Great Powers was produced amidst the heated debate on China's rise and escalating national self-confidence. Standing at China’s perspective, the documentary series briefly illustrated the rise and fall of nine world powers since the 15th century and reflects the self-confidence of the 21st century China. Using the documentary, The Rise of the Great Powers as an case study, this thesis will analyse the commentary of the documentary, together with Chinese societal events and news to examine how 'rising' confidence and political self-confidence were being demonstrated in 21st century China. Lastly, through the analysis of China's perception of its own comprehensive national power, the thesis will explore whether China's self-confidence in the 21st century is a form of self-confidence or conceit.
