As editors of the debut issue of a la mode Singapore, we are proud to introduce this first-ever magazine on popular culture in Singapore. Although many writers have written on the topic in academic journals and books, their views are either Western or Eastern in perspective. To date, no publication focuses solely on Singapore popular culture.
