Bringing together masters, performers and participants fiom different parts of Asia, the symposium aims to provide a platform for the inter-cultural exchange and experience of Asian traditional arts. Its main aim is to find an Asian voice in theatre. In light of Singapore’s efforts to promote the city-state as an international arts centre, the theme and subject of our exploration becomes even more relevant. Our photojournalism project is poised to capture the spirit of the Flying Circus Project, with an emphasis on the very process, as we document the search for a New Asia on stage. In doing so, we hope our visuals will stimulate the already growing interest in the arts and theatre.
