Description
Summary:Climate Emotions is an illustrative, story-based publication aimed at youth from ages 6 to 12. It seeks to address the causes and implications of Climate Grief on youth individuals, and to visualize the emotional and psychological impact of climate change on mental health. Climate Emotions weaves stories centered on the voices of youth when faced with a climate crisis that seems larger than life, sharing their journey towards acknowledging and building emotional resilience and empathy. Living in the age of a changing planet, children today are faced with uncertainty about their earth's future, and have experienced climate grief in their lives. If climate grief is not recognized, it can manifest itself into complex emotions such as despair, anxiety, anger, fear and guilt, which are difficult to navigate out of. This publication serves to become a helpful guide for youths to channel their climate emotions towards improving both mental and planetary health.
