Description
Summary:An autonomous robotic unit is a robot that performs tasks without taking breaks and requires little to no external interference from humans. These robots are built to solve problems and improve our lives by doing day-to-day routine tasks with greater speed, accuracy, efficiency while reducing human risks. In Singapore, we are a small country with a small population, many robots are used to cope with issues such as safety, productivity and efficiency in various sectors of the industry. For example in the cleaning workforce, various cleaning robots are required to assist the workers in this laborious work. This project thus aims to design and develop an autonomous robotic unit that is small in size and capable of identifying objects labeled as trash, pick them up and bring them to a collection point. The project hopes to improve the efficiency of the cleaners and free up time for them to do higher value-added duties.
