Description
Summary:Streamlining a process accelerates efficiency in organisation when time is of the essence, removing repetitive task and simplifying work without the reliance of trained and skilled staff. The growing international trade contributed to rising trend in air emission including Green House Gas (GHG) CO2 emissions; the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) introduced the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) to regulate ship’s contribution to increasing global warming problem; IMO delve into various measure to improve ship’s energy performance. Previous research has primarily relied on experimenting propeller in open water test to find peak efficiency, no studies involve using polynomial function to simplify the process and increase data accuracy. During the phase 0 to 1 of designing a ship, there was little emphasis to expedite the assessment process in generating minimum propulsion power assessment report, the use of a software with relevant charts and graphic will assist in necessary visualisation and analysis of data. The derived integrated program is expected to significantly reduce the manpower and time taken required to compute the required values. Furthermore, generating a concise and detailed technical report in PDF file can facilitate the approval process or used for supplementary documentation.
