Description
Summary:The aim of this paper is to provide an insight on how the State manages the NEWater project. Singapore faces a small water catchment area which results in a lack of water resources. Hence, the NEWater project is aimed at meeting the water needs of Singapore. Through the management and education of the NEWater project, this project becomes an inherently political artefact that enables the State to reinforce its legitimate authority through its rhetorical messages to the public. Also the paper will show external effects of the NEWater project such as its allowing Singapore independence and self-reliance on natural resources.
