Our proposal to General Motors was to create an automated system (which we ultimately called VARS – Vehicle Automation Reporting System) based on their existing resources, namely using Microsoft Access to build an application. Another proprietary program called PDF2Excel was bought to avoid legal issues due to encryption on their data file.
