Covid-19 疫情时期民众评论中的语言使用特征 ：以网络公众社交平台语料为例 = Study on characteristics of language use in comments during covid-19 : examples from online social media platforms

研究分析与讨论分为三个部分。第一步，在Halliday系统功能语法的框架下，进行细致的文本描述，讨论其中的词语使用特征。第二步，通过解析新闻的消息来源，探讨新闻报道对民众的影响。最后第三步，通过第二部的解析和探讨结果，分析、确定影响民众词语选择的社会因素。
研究主要回答两个问题。其一，新冠病毒疫情的不同时期，民众在不同媒体平台是如何通过语言表述自己的情感？其二，从民众的语言表述中，如何反映出他们是以什么样的心态来面对新挑战？研究结果显示，民众通过语言，在不同时期通过不同的词汇，表述情感，如担忧、焦虑、个人观点等。民众的语言通过情态助词表达、语气，对疫情的关心。民众的情态也会因新闻报道内容而受影响。
希望本次研究有助于有关政府部门把握民众对疫情宣传的影响和个体了解自己在疫情间阅读及参与民众评论的个人心理状态，因此官方媒体和网上平台能够提供更多正确的引导，调整民众心态，缓解大众的恐慌情绪，做到全民团结努力一同对抗疫情，并做好充分心理准备以有效应对未来有可能再发生的如新冠疫情之类的突发事件。

The coronavirus disease (Covid-19) suddenly broke out all over the world in 2019. Till now, the pandemic in Singapore is still worrying like other countries. The sudden major pandemic has brought various psychological shocks to the general public.
From the perspective of linguistics, this research conduct an in-depth analyses of the characteristics of language and word used in comments. This research explored comments on various online platforms, such as Lianhe Zaobao, 8world News and Singapore Eye, etc. from January 2020 to September 2021. After reviewing close to a hundred news reports and it’s comments, 87 comments worthy of analysis were selected as the corpus of this research. The research integrated Fairclough's three-dimensional model theory and Halliday's systemic functional grammar, and conducted quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Research analysis and discussion were divided into three parts. The first step was to conduct a detailed text analysis under the framework of Halliday’ systemic functional grammar and discussed the characteristics of language use. The second part explored the impact of news reports on the people through the interpretation of processing analysis. The last step is to explore the social factors that influence people's vocabulary choice through the explanation of social practice.
The research mainly answered two questions. Firstly, how do people express their emotions on different online platforms, through the characteristic use of language in different periods of Covid-19? Secondly, from the characteristic use of language, how do they reflect their mentality to face new challenges during the pandemic? Results of the study show that people expressed emotions, such as worry, resentment, anxiety, opinions, etc., through their choice of words. People expressed their concern for the pandemic through modal auxiliary words, tone of voice, etc. The mental state of people were also affected by the content of news reports.
Through this research, it is hoped that relevant government departments and individuals can understand their mental states at different periods of the pandemic, so we can help with their mental well-being. All in all, I hope that when the next major pandemic arrives, we can provide correct guidance, ease the panic of the public, and unite to fight the pandemic together.
