First chapter outlines main concepts and theoretical foundation. A brief description of the author’s work and writing style is provided. The popularity of Qiong Yao’s pulp novels among the Taiwanese readers is discussed at great length. The manner in which the influence of media and film production help to promote popular literature is also examined. |
